Cheerleading
The Sterling Raiders Cheerleader Program is committed to cultivating student leaders who embody excellence, uphold integrity, and dedicate themselves to meaningful service. As visible representatives of Sterling High School, our cheerleaders play a critical role in fostering a positive school climate and promoting unity, school pride, and respectful conduct both on and off campus.
Cheerleaders are held to the highest standards of character and conduct, as they serve not only as spirited performers but also as ambassadors of our school’s values. Through rigorous training, teamwork, and leadership opportunities, the program seeks to prepare students for success in academics, extracurricular pursuits, and future endeavors.
The primary objectives of the program are to:
- Promote and sustain school spirit and Raider pride through active participation in athletic events, school functions, and community outreach
- Lead by example by demonstrating consistent, respectful, and ethical behavior both in and outside the classroom
- Serve the school and broader community with integrity, humility, and enthusiasm, fostering a culture of respect and inclusiveness
- Encourage the development of discipline, time management, and personal responsibility
- Build confidence, resilience, and strong moral character through teamwork, perseverance, and goal-setting
- Provide a supportive environment where student-athletes can grow into empowered individuals prepared for lifelong leadership and service
Participation in the Sterling Raiders Cheerleader Program is both an honor and a responsibility. It is our mission to ensure that every cheerleader leaves the program not only as a stronger performer but as a well-rounded, principled, and compassionate leader.
